6 | Trust the Process | Alexia Kombou

In Episode 6 of Vision & Graft I'm talking to Alexia Kombou! She's a multi award winning voice over artist who has worked with many of the worlds top leading brands.

She mainly works in commercials and you've likely heard her on your radio and TV as I often find myself caught by surprise as she suddenly starts talking in my car or living room.

In this episode Alexia starts by telling me how she began her career as a VO artist and reflects on her work for commercial campaigns that have an important social message  We go on to chat about artistic freedom when working with clients and the role continued learning plays in development as an artist.

We then move on to discuss awareness of your skillset and the benefit of leaning into what you have a flair for and I ask Alexia what drives her as a freelancer. Alexia then goes on to mention gratitude and reflection and she reveals her practice of visualisation, her technique and the role it has played in her career development.

Finally, in a new creative format approach for Vision & Graft I ask Alexia a few quick fire questions to get to the core of her creative instincts and the experiences that she’s had throughout her career.

Alexia is a mate from uni I've always looked to for inspiration when considering how to move forward in my business and this podcast is rich with information to take away!

Vision & Graft aims to inspire action, give hope and normalise the discussion of mental wellbeing within creative sectors as well as more widely throughout society.
