Warm Black Pro-Mist

When observing the Warm Black Pro-Mist filter in the LFL tests, it may initially appear to introduce a noticeable reddish warm tint to the image. However, as our eyes adapt to this visual style, we start perceiving the unfiltered image on the left side of the screen as excessively cool. This effect is due to our brains compensating for the warmth of the focused image. Both lighter and darker skin tones benefit from the added warmth, either through the infusion of warmth in the shadow area or the smoothing out of skin tone details achieved by the diffusion's warmth.

By incorporating the dispersion of added warmth through the halo effect, the filter generates a radiance that is balanced by the black element, effectively controlling contrast levels and spill. This is regarded by some as having a more pleasing impact on darker skin tones, as the standard black pro mist might be perceived to be too flat.
